Highest Possible Communication During Our Spiritual Age

The Earth goes through a periodic cycle of increasing and decreasing spiritual energies as it charts its orbit throughout the cosmos. The energetic composition of our world dictates the methods through which communication can occur. By understanding our present age and its capabilities, we can position ourselves to receive the highest possible communication.

In the previous blog post, What Spiritual Age is Our World In? - Understanding the Yuga Cycle, we discussed the various ages that our world cycles through during its orbit around the central star. Those different ages (Satya, Treta, Dvarpa, and Kali) mean that different potentialities exist. Satya Yuga is the age where we have our highest spiritual potential, and Kali Yuga is where we are at our lowest. You can read that blog post for more details.

In this post we will discuss the energetic composition of each Yuga cycle and how they affect our potentialities as humans on Earth.

In Satya Yuga, we are in closest proximity to the spiritual influences of the central star. According to Sadhguru (an Indian yogi) "In Satya Yuga, the ether will be very close in the atmosphere. When ether is very close, if I want to say something to you, with my eyes closed I don't have to say it. You will know." In this age, the mind becomes the most dominant of the senses and can discern messages without the need for talking or seeing. It is as easy as...... I think, and then you know. That is how close our connection will be (and has been in our previous Satya Yuga period).

When Sadhguru speaks of ether, we need to recognize our etheric nature. This is an energetic aspect of our bodies that performs key functions during our existence. It collects the energies that are transmitted from the higher planes and directs them to our physical body. Another function it performs is to connect consciousness from the physical plane to the higher spiritual planes. The variance in proximity of ether across the different ages allows for different experiences in ease of communication and understanding.

During Treta Yuga, the ether is further away than in Satya Yuga. Here, the energetic possibilities have shifted and the mind is no longer the dominant sense. It now becomes the eyes that are used to understand communication. According to Sadhguru "If I close my eyes, you won't know what I'm doing, but if I open my eyes and look at you, you know what I'm saying." In Satya Yuga you could understand even with my eyes closed. But now, you will need to use your sight to understand.

The ether moves further away in Dvarpa Yuga, which is where our world is presently. At this time, the highest potential communication comes by way of the breath. In places where the ether is high, you can know things by the smell. Sadhguru states "if you go into the forest, the most significant way of knowing things is only by smell. Most animals living there know things only by smell because of such concentrated life energy, the ether is high. Because the ether is high, they don't have to see." They know simply by smelling.

At our lowest level of potential, during Kali Yuga, talking is the only method for communicating knowledge. The other methods simply do not have enough ether present to be able to function.

Fortunately, our world is continuing through its cycle in an ascending arc as we have moved out of the low level of Kali and are now in Dvarpa Yuga. Considering this, reflect for a moment how breath and the sense of smell function as a means of knowing. Do you know when your meal is done cooking simply by smell? Have you ever detected someone's presence just by their perfume, cologne, or the smell of their soap? In what other ways do breath and smell transmit understanding directly to you?

Another opportunity we have is to take advantage of locations where the ether is high. Perhaps you could spend some time in a forest where Sadhguru notes that the energies are higher due to the concentration of life energy. What other places do you notice life energies higher and the presence of ether greater? As you spend time in these places, you might pay attention to your breath and sense of smell to determine if you notice this difference in communication of understanding.

The knowledge of possibilities for a given time affords us the opportunity to leverage those in gaining insights and spiritual understanding. We can more easily direct our attention toward the senses and methods of communication that are likely to yield the best results. From this discussion of the various abilities during the larger Yuga cycle, we know that the breath holds the greatest potential for us in this moment. In a spiritual sense, if we take advantage of this opportunity, we can use this awareness to maximize the amount of spiritual communication we can receive.
